Abstract
Abstract Pyrolysis of boron esters of alkoxy ethyl alcohols gives mainly 1,4-dioxane in 42–23% overall yields. The expected vinyl ethers and various amounts of acetals are formed only as by-products. Pyrolysis yields have been investigated in different boron/alcohol combinations.
