Assessing Added Value Of Wave Coupling For The Mediterranean Climate And Extremes In Regional Earth System Model Simulations

Abstract

The results of the thesis presents extensive information regarding the Mediterranean climate within the context of hydro-climate, local and remote precipitation moisture sources, climate extremes and importance of the air-sea interaction in such a unique region. Additionally, this study uses unprecedented and novel techniques to investigate the Mediterranean climate and its extremes, thereby is an introduction and/or reference for future studies.
