İstanbul’un 1950 Sonrası Göç İle Değişen Kent Ve Mimari Dokusunun Sinemadaki Temsili

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, tarih boyunca, devingen ve kozmopolit yapıya sahip bir göç kenti olan İstanbul’un özellikle 1950 sonrasında yaşanan yoğun ve çeşitli niteliklerdeki göç dalgalarının varış noktası haline gelmesiyle değişen, sosyal, kültürel ve mimari yapısı, sinematografik sunumlarla incelenmektedir. Öncelikle sinema, mimarlık ve kent etkileşiminde Türk Modernizminin merkezi olan İstanbul’un kentleşme süreçleri ile Türk Sinemasının gelişme dönemleri arasında dönemsel paralellikler belirlenmiş ve Türk Sinemasının kentsel bellek oluşumundaki rolü, araştırılarak, gerek belgesel gerekse kurgu sinemasında dünden bu güne sık sık kullanılan kent röperlerinin kolektif bellekteki yeri incelenmektedir. Bir yandan yoğun göç hareketinin sonucu oluşan çarpık kentleşmenin, mağduriyetin ve umudun dört duvarı gecekondudan, apartmanlaşmaya, değişen rant ve politik etkenlerle yap-sat düzeninden uydu kentlere kadar uzanan serüveni ve mevcut sosyal konut uygulamaları değerlendirilirken diğer yandan da sosyal yapıdaki tabakalaşmalar, kentli yaşama katılan yeni gündemler, kentli-köylü ikilemleri, arabesk kültürün doğuşu ve varoşların kent çeperlerinden merkezine doğru yayılışı incelenmektedir. Göçün İstanbul kent kimliğine etkisi Türk sinemasında İstanbul ve göç senaryoları ile ele alınırken bazen sadece bir dekor bazen de bir ana karakter olarak karşımıza çıkan İstanbul, mimari ölçekte konut ve konut kullanımlarının, yaşam biçimlerinin, seçilen örnek filmlerin sinemasal anlatımları ve analizleri üzerinden betimlenmektedir. Göçün kente ve sinemaya, sinemanın kent gelişimine, sosyal yaşamın dönüşümüne ve kolektif belleğin oluşumuna etkisinin İstanbul kent ölçeğinde ne boyutta gerçekleştiğini değerlendirmek çalışmamın bütününü oluşturmaktadır.

In this study, through the history on social, cultural and architectural transformation of Istanbul, which is a dynamic and cosmopolitan migration city, especially after 1950 becoming the destination of heavy and diverse migration waves is studied by means of cinematographic presentations. First of all, in interaction of cinema, architecture and city, periodic parallelism between the urbanization of Istanbul which is the center of the Turkish Modernism, and development of the Turkish cinema is identified. Moreover, the role of the Turkish cinema in formation of an urban memory is studied. The place of frequently used city landmarks in cinema through history in collective memory is investigated. On the one hand, from squatters, the four-wall of grievance and hope, to apartments, do and sell system to satellite cities, the adventure of irregular urbanization, which is a result of high migration rates, and recent social housing applications are evaluated, on the other hand heterogeneous layers in social structure, new agendas participated in urban life, urban – villager conflicts, the rise of arabesque culture and diffusion of suburbs from the edges to the center of the city is researched. Effect of migration on the urban identity of Istanbul is researched by the screenplays on Istanbul and migration. Appearing of Istanbul sometimes just as a décor or main character and in architectural scale; through housing and house usage, life styles is described with cinematographic expressions and analyses of the chosen films. Evaluating the scale of the effect of migration to city and cinema, cinema to the development of city, transformation of social life and formation of the urban memory in the scale of the city Istanbul forms the basis of this study.
